: : : In The Speed Of Light : : : Finally, it has all ended. In the speed of light, everything passed by so fast ! My wedding day has finally came and went. Here is the newly wed, Myboy and I during the dinner march in. Photo courtesy from my lovely friends.
So what happens on the wedding day itself? Morning Session ... I was busy finishing the corsages for parents & grandparents & doing & undoing my nail colour the night before, I slept at about 1am++ and woke up at about 4.45am when my makeup artist called for direction ! I was getting my makeup & hairdo done for the next 2hours + while my friends, guys & girls came about 7am to prepare the 'stuff' for the games. What games? Games that the groom & his best men had to play to have their access from the main door to my house, up the staircase and to my room, where I'm waiting for my prince charming :P I haven't get to see the videos of it yet, but what I heard from MyBoy was that they had to eat sandwiches with chunks of wasabi + ginger, it tasted soooooooooo bad the boys decided to give up and look for alternative, haha... the alternative was to pay $$$ =p, drank some really really sour juices ... answered some questions about me while going up the staircase and outside my room. The last task was to sing me a song. I couldn't really thought of a song while my bridesmaid asked me... in the end he sang 'Love Me Tender' by Elvis, which is pretty sweet, he sang it very nicely.. I love it *blush* After that it was tea ceremony and we are off to his uncle's place for another tea ceremony with parents-in-law and his relatives. Night Session.... This is where 101 things can go wrong happened ! Of course, there are merry moments as well. 1. Table No. was not arranged as shown in the floor plan confirmed and given to me earlier. So last minute changes has to be made 2. The cupcakes which were suppose to be arranged in a tier for cake cutting have been packed in cute little boxes with ribbons & butterflies & thank you tag placed on each seats ! So we used the dummy cake from the hotel instead, which is nice anyway. 3. We forgotten to bring the portable hard disk which contains the mp3 we're going to play during the dinner ! Realised that at about 6.30pm and MyBoy & his best man rushed home to get it. 4. We pray hard that it won't rain on that day. It is of utmost importance because our wedding reception was an outdoor event by the lake in the hotel ! However, it rained around 3pm++ and stop before 5pm ! It still drizzled a bit around 6pm+. But stopped when we wanted to start the event. Thank god ! The rain earlier actually cooled the night. 5. We arranged to have cocktail session about 5pm. Vox exchange 6pm and dinner at 7pm. All of my friends, family & relatives & his friends came around 5++, however, his relatives & parents came around 6++. So we can't start on time ! We finally started at about 7.30pm ! GOD ! I made my friends, family, relatives & his friends waited for 2hours + ! However, it can't be helped, because we forgotten about the hard disk thing in point 3 ! So I guess, it was all in place, as GOD planned, I suppose. Plus, it drizzled a bit around 6pm++, so if we did start at about 6pm, we would have to walk in the drizzle under an umbrella..... I guess, GOD knows best. 6. Both of us were busy saying Hi to our guests, still time is very limited. I couldn't even say Hi to my college friends while they came punctually at 5++. They came over to say bye and chat & took photos while I finished rounding tables of my brothers & uncles, high school friends, ex colleagues, xanga friends, MyBoy's friends and was about to make my way to the other side where they sat. I felt bad about it. 7. Other than all the hiccups, overall it was a great day we had on our wedding. It is great to see all the guests, especially my high school friends who came during the morning, and night and some helped me alot, big or small task. I appreciate my college friends who made their way to share my joy even though I informed them pretty late, around 3-4 days before the event ! 8. I felt like a superstar because there were so much flashes going around when I was posing for photos with friends, family etc. Is really like a bunch of paparazi infront of you ! Even the hotel guests came and ask to take a photo of me or with me. I felt weird in a way and also flattered because they said I looked beautiful. The kids hold the lift for me when it was closing while I was about to reach it. I am very happy with the work of the planner, Ms Seta. She really did a great job and gave us a very good deal. We were allowed to bring home all the fresh flowers on the tables except those in round. Initially she said will do a real + fake flower arrangement but she did it all with real flowers ! Initially we agreed to just put white paper lantern balls on the ceiling of the tent because it's a tedius job to have it sprayed in lilac/purple colour (and I wouldn't want to trouble her), but she put in white & purple colour too ! I am very happy to have dealt with Ms Isabella at Flamingo by the Lake, KL (which was the venue). She gave a good deal too and made good arrangements even though there is minor mistakes. While we are here trying to get a cheap deal, what we did not know is the amount of work those people has to do to give us a wonderful night to remember. While all the guests have left and us went back to our suite, those hotel staffs were still busy cleaning up the place late into the night, midnight. A very heartfelt thanks to all of those who have helped to made this happened ! My wonderful bunch of long time friends...... and xanga friend William (the guy alone at the table) who came very early, punctual.
Table centerpiece.. More photos will be coming up soon when I compile everything. |
